Synopsis and Plot Summary

Amidst the winds of change during the Republican era is a story about four young men and women.

Shen Muzhi is a big shot tycoon in the business community who dies a mysterious death. He leaves a sizeable sum that has become a legendary story in the social circles of the Shanghai Bund. Many factions hope to covet the treasures for themselves.

Shen Shuhao (Fu Xinbo) is the young master of the Shen Family who returns home after three years. He helps Shang Wanting (Han Chae Young), his wife in name, out of trouble and gets in the way of Shen Yue's (Zhang Liang) plans to take the family inheritance for himself. However, Shen Shuhao is merely an imposter with another identity while Shang Wanting married into the Shen Family for money. Will they make the right choice when the nation is in a time of need?
