Synopsis and Plot Summary

The war takes place in the Shanghai Bund as a mysterious swordsman treads on a bloody path to avenge the death of his family.

In the year 1938, Xiao Xia (Qian Yong Chen) was lost in the streets of Shanghai with no memories of his past. Because he accidentally saves the eldest son of the Tang Family, Older Master Tang takes him in as a student and teaches him the art of sculpting. However, the Japanese military has forced their way into Shanghai and the atrocities committed by them awakes memories that Xiao Xia has long forgotten. He remembers that his family was mercilessly slaughtered during the Rape of Nanking and starts on a road to vengeance. With everybody dead, he hopes to lead a peaceful life in hiding but his actions have caused trouble for the Tang Family and he has to step forward once more.
