Synopsis and Plot Summary
The emperor is sickly, the crown prince a mere child, and enemy forces closing in on the city. With her country and family on the brink of destruction, she writes a desperate plea to Nanchuan Wang, begging for his aid.
The emperor's wife, Su Yan (Ming Jia Jia), promises to accede to any request if Nanchuan Wang (Richard Li) sends troops to rescue her, she awaits his response with bated breath. Finally, he arrives, leading his forces to save her, her husband, and child. However, the price for his intervention must still be paid. What he desires is not the throne nor worldly power, but one person—her.
