Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story about promulgating Chinese medicine follows a twenty-something woman who is all alone in this world. A professor looking to pass on his knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine to the younger generation takes her under his wing. However, she doesn't get along with his son who is also in the same class.
Ren Xinzheng (Wu Gang), a professor at a university for Chinese Medicine dedicated to spreading his knowledge to youths, has resigned from his job to start a new class in the hopes of cultivating successors who can truly inherit the way of traditional Chinese medicine.
Sun Toutou (Zhao Lusi) who is in her twenties has no family. She does not ask about the past nor hope for the future. She accidentally runs into trouble because of an incident where she stands up for what's right. Ren Xingzheng helps her in time, learns about her story and lets her join his traditional Chinese medicine class so she can restart her life. Since then, Sun Toutou who used to care about nothing embarks on the path of studying under the tutelage of Ren Xinzheng.
No one expected that Sun Toutou and Ren Xingzheng's son Ren Tianzhen (Luo Yizhou) would dislike each other from the start causing a lot of trouble for themselves. The road of mentorship is long and difficult with master and apprentice having very different personalities. Sun Toutou continues to grow in the face of obstacles to gradually fall in love with the magnificent culture of traditional Chinese medicine. She and Ren Xingzheng go from being enemies to having a mutual understanding and eventually cherishing each other.
In the process of searching, the master preaches and solves the doubts, allowing the students to find their own destiny; through their kindness, bravery, and youthful passion, the students inspire the master to teach. Sun Toutou together with her teacher and classmates walk together on the road of chasing their dreams.
