Synopsis and Plot Summary
In the third year of Jianwen's reign, a small thief named Li Wu steals an invitation in order to sneak into Wang Kegong's manor. He thought that he could rob the place and become rich overnight but instead, he gets caught in a war of firearms. Despite being an outsider, Li Wu now holds the fish lock which puts him at the center of the conspiracy.
When he was a child, Li Wu (Leon Zhang) was once saved from prison by Song Zhen and that young boy is now an Embroidered Uniform Guard named Lu Zheng (Chen Ruoxuan). The two become colleagues but they do not recognize each other. Meanwhile, Shu Tang (Sun Yi), the girl who was imprisoned in the same cell as Li Wu is now an assassin. Together with Li Wu, they serve as spies and act as husband and wife to complete missions for their organization. The cruelty of the conflicts between the ruling party and the opposition has strained the relationship between the three individuals who continue to stand the test of perpetual darkness. The moment the dynasty changes, all the wars and unsolved puzzles can finally come to an end.
