Synopsis and Plot Summary
Mu Xiaoru "accidentally" barges into Professor Yan Sui's mysterious space within a parallel dimension. As it turns out, she has the key to enter the three thousand worlds inside books, thus beginning her adventure across different time periods.
After 15 years, archeology student Mu Xiaoru (Wen Moyan) crosses paths with the cold genius professor Yan Sui (Sky Li) again due to a bracelet known as "Crossing Clouds Jade." Mu Xiaoru was still in the bookstore one second and running for her life in the world of novels the next. To recover the "Crossing Clouds Jade," Yan Sui has to work together with book spirit Wan Wan (Song Yixiong) to save Xiaoru.
In the process, they have to fulfill the wishes of the characters in the book. As Yan Sui and Xiaoru develop feelings for each other, he gradually lets go of his obsession to go home. Alas, Wan Wan who has loyally stayed by their side suddenly loses consciousness after a big battle and intends to eliminate all the other beings. Can Yan Sui and Xiaoru awaken him again?
