Love Meter

Synopsis and Plot Summary

Due to Qi Qi's relentless questions, Chen Xun who is in his thirties starts reminiscing about the old days with his first love Fang Hui. His recollection of those pure and innocent feelings is introspective. It is not only a piece of Chen Xun's youth but also a time that belongs to the post-80's generation. The story that spans ten years follows them from the start of secondary school to their graduation from university.

While attending the wedding of a high school friend, Chen Xun (Eddie Peng) recalls his first love Fang Hui (Ni Ni). He met her during school and felt the first time his heart stirred, thus beginning over a decade of entanglement. From high school to university, from the new millennium to a period when the nation was dealing with the SARS epidemic, they fell for each other yet their relationship ended reluctantly.

Representing the generation of post-80s youths together with their friends Qiao Ran (Wei Chen), Lin Jiamo (Zhang Zixuan), and Zhao Ye (Zheng Kai), they were once committed to love, they were once teased by fate and unwilling to give up. Over the passing years, they grew up to be tenacious but lost each other. Holding on to the past that he cannot forget, Chen Xun follows the clues in his memories to find Fang Hui and to muster up the courage to let go of his regrets.
