Synopsis and Plot Summary
Following the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1945, China finds itself facing a tough decision as a political battle begins between the Communists and the Kuomintang.
Mao Zedong (Tong Ruixin) heads to Chongqing along to negotiate. Along with the significant figures in Chinese history, Zhou Enlai (Sun Weimin), Zhu De (Zhang Jingsheng), Liu Shaoqi (Guo Lianwen) play their respective parts as members of the Communist party. The People's Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949.
