Synopsis and Plot Summary
Who is Bai Suzhen's destiny? Unable to continue cultivating, the white snake must end her attachments in the human realm or put her own existence at risk.
Bai Suzhen (Sun Xiaoxiao) is a thousand year old white snake. After being enlightened by Bodhisattva, she goes to the human realm to settle her unfinished business. Bai Suzhen meets Xu Xian (Lu Hong), a man who saved her in the past and in order to repay his kindness, she ends up marrying him. Fa Hai (Zhang Tianyang) is a monk who has devoted his life to vanquishing demons, but his inner demons drive him to cause trouble for Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian. Bai Suzhen's friend Xiao Qing (Wang Yu), the green snake, joins in the fight against Fa Hai.
