Synopsis and Plot Summary

A Beijing drifter who couldn't find work makes his way up the ladder to become a general manager through sheer dumb luck.

Li Dagen (Bao Bai'er) is a man from the province through and through. His heart is too pure which makes him the rare kind of 'dummy'. Being unfamiliar with how the world works and always saying the wrong things at the wrong time, he has a hard time finding work in the big city. Nonetheless, he ends up with a job talking for a living as a salesman. He gets into more trouble in his new job, but the troubles somehow turn into good fortune. Xia Tian (Vicki Dong) is a beautiful and capable city girl. She has already set a record as the best salesperson in the field at a young age, yet beneath her accomplished career woman facade is a person who is hurting. Gao Bo (He Jianze) failed in his business venture so his father sends him to learn to be a salesman. This is a story about young people chasing after their dreams.

Wang Baoqiang was initially invited for the role but did not participate due to personal reasons.
