Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story revolving around Lie Ruge, a pure and high-spirited young woman who gets caught in a complicated web of lies that started spinning nineteen years ago.

An Ye Luo (Lai Yi) becomes consumed by hatred after the woman he loves marries another man named Zhan Fei Tian, so he kidnaps their newborn daughter and switches the baby with the newborn son of Liehuo Manor. The daughter is raised as Lie Ruge (Dilraba Dilmurat), the sole successor of the Liehuo Manor. Her family takes in Zhan Fei Tian's son Zhan Feng (Vin Zhang) along with Yu Zi Han (Liu Ruilin), a member of the imperial family who was born without the ability to walk. The three grow up as martial arts students of the manor while Ruge and Zhan Feng fall in love. As fate would have it, An Ye Luo lies to Zhan Feng and tells him that the Liehuo Manor is responsible for his father's death and the realization tears the couple apart. Lie Ruge then meets Yin Xue (Vic Chou), a man who devotes his entire being towards protecting her. (Source: DramaPanda)

Filming took place at Xiang Shan.
Filming lasted around four months beginning March 30, 2017 and ending July 26, 2017.
It is Vic Chou's second Chinese costume drama after headlining Beauties in the Closet.
As the drama is being produced by Jaywalk Studio, many of the cast members also acted in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms except for Yang Mi who was filming Legend of Fuyao.
After playing the main otp in The King's Woman, Dilraba Dilmurat and Vin Zhang play a couple once again.
Dilraba Dilmurat, Vic Chou and Vin Zhang filming an episode of the variety show Happy Camp in January 2018 led to speculations that the show will air on Hunan TV, but it ended up premiering as a web drama on Youku.
It reached 100 million views within the first 18 hours of its release in China.
It surpassed 5 billion views by the last episode and it is the first Youku web drama to hit the milestone number in 2018.
