Synopsis and Plot Summary
Restaurant owner Yang Jingyi may be rich and handsome, but he is also sharp-tongued. After three years of being single, he suddenly announces that he has a lover. As it turns out, it was just a cover.
Because he has been single for a long time, Yang Jingyi's (Zhang Zhehan) mother has been pressuring him to get married. As a solution, he gets into a contract relationship with Zhang Xiaoqiang (Li Yixuan). Zhang Xiaoqiang is the third daughter of the owner of a steamed bun shop who has been borrowing money from Yang Jingyi due to her family problems.
Yang Jingyi longs for his ex-girlfriend Li Yunxi (Puff Guo) yet also feels conflicted by the fact that he cannot forgive her. She reappears one day in an attempt to try to save their relationship. At this time, Cheng Shan (James Wen), the man whom Zhang Xiaoqiang had a crush on, has been released from prison and his return leaves her feeling lost. In the process of getting to know each other, Yang Jingyi opens his eyes to Zhang Xiaoqiang's good qualities. She is simple, kind and enthusiastic. Zhang Xiaoqiang also changes her mind about Yang Jingyi after learning of his painful past and helps him out of the shadows. As the pretend romance soon becomes true love, the two use their sincerity to forge ahead.
