Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story of a dancer whose husband goes missing on the day of their honeymoon, thus beginning a series of quarrels between her and her kung fu mother-in-law.

Ren Xiao Xuan (Zhang Jia Ning) is a dancer who dreams of taking the center stage even though she has spent years as a third-rate dancer. In spite of her lackluster career, she maintains a positive outlook and finally gets her chance at happiness as she readies for the next chapter of her life with husband Huang Le Zong (Ma Tianyu). However, life throws a curveball at her as Huang Le Zong goes missing on their honeymoon after a skydiving attempt gone wrong. It earns the wrath of her mother-in-law Mei Chao Ying (Zhang Kai Li) who considers her to be a prime suspect. Mei Chao Ying is an orthodox kung-fu master and she believes that Xiao Xuan plans to take over the family's martial arts establishment by killing her son. Nevertheless, the mother-daughter pair soon realize that they have a greater enemy because Huang Shu Lang (Xu Wen Guang), a relative from overseas has returned with a sinister plan.

In spite of her mother-in-law's endless provocations, Ren Xiao Xuan took care of Mei Chao Ying when she was at her lowest. During her time dealing with amnesia, Mei Chao Ying managed to reconstruct a long-lost kung fu technique and having had a change of heart, she 'forces' Ren Xiao Xuan to take over the family's legacy in hopes that it would make her stay.

It is Zhang Jia Ning and Zhang Kai Li's second time working together after playing mother and daughter in the 2012 Chinese family drama Aiyah, Mama.
