The Lover's Lies

A story that follows the main protagonist as she struggles to build a life for her brothers and sisters and ultimately finds happiness.

Tong Si Ji (Jia Qing) lost her parents when she was young and took on the role as the breadwinner of the family at a young age. She works multiple jobs all day long and meets Yi Yi (Zhang Xiao Long), the successor of a department store. A romance blossoms over time but it is discovered by Yi Yi's mother Du Juan (Lin Jing). Du Juan learns about Tong Si Ji's real identity and in order to cover up the truth, she tells a lie to her son that will break them apart for good. Yi Yi is devastated yet also lies to Tong Si Ji to protect her. Nevertheless, there will come a day when the truth will be revealed.

• Jia Qing who has been maintaining her long hair for years switched to short hair for the sake of the role.
• Because Lyric Lan had many crying scenes, she had to drink a lot of water to stay hydrated.
• Zhang Xiao Long who is a teacher at The Central Academy of Drama was extremely happy when fans came to visit the set on Teacher's Day.
• Lin Jing and Zhao Xiao Long who play mother and son are actually the same age in real life.
• Jia Qing had to play an aunt in the drama as her character had to take care of her sister's daughter. As Jia Qing never had such experience before and doesn't even dare to carry kids, so she did her research by asking other moms and trying to interact more with children.
