Synopsis and Plot Summary

A romance between an aspiring actress and an arrogant star.

Having been abandoned as a child, Jian Xi (Yuan Shan Shan) lives with her grandmother and she matures into a kind-hearted and cheerful person. After her grandmother passed away, she travels to the big city alone in hopes of being reunited with her birth mother. She is cruelly turned away, yet she never loses focus as she works towards reaching her dreams.

Tang Fei (Yuan Shan Shan) is at the peak of his career. The industry has turned him into someone dominant, spoiled and full of himself as he became tainted by the lure of fame and fortune. However, Jian Xi's appearance brings in a breath of fresh air and slowly thaws his heart.

Filming took place in Beijing, Tianjin and Hengdian World Studios in Zhejiang.
Filming lasted four months beginning on April 18, 2015 and ending on August 28, 2015.
It is producer Yu Zheng's first metropolitan drama, exposing the good, the bad and the ugly hidden behind the glitz and glamor of the entertainment industry. It tackles sensitive issues head on and provides a meta within a meta.
Jiang Mengjie and Chen Xiao are from the same province. They would often converse in their own dialect.
Yuan Shanshan had to stay on set for almost 24 hours for filming. In between breaks, she would often be holding the script.
