Synopsis and Plot Summary

Set in a high school during 1990's Taiwan, it tells the love story between an ordinary student and the notorious gang leader at school.

Lin Zhenxin (Vivian Sung) is a plain looking girl who has a huge crush on the most popular guy at school—Ouyang Feifan (Dino Lee). Meanwhile, student delinquent Xu Taiyu (Darren Wang) is determined to have the campus beauty Tao Minmin (Dewi Chien) as his girlfriend. Lin Zhenxin is heartbroken after stumbling upon the fact that Ouyang and Minmin are dating so she forms an alliance with Taiyu to break the couple up. However, as time passes, the two partners-in-crime start to develop feelings for each other.

Fun Facts

It is Chen Yu-shan's directorial debut as a film director.
Through Café. Waiting. Love, Vivian Sung became a leading lady whose movie has surpassed hundred millions at the box office yet it wasn't the reason that she was casted. Vivian Sung auditioned, prepared for the role and tested over 10 times. When the director asked Vivian Sung to act out a crying scene, it became the scene that got her the part.
Vivian Sung had thick brows and glasses yet her 'ugly' look also paved the way for her talent fees to double.
Andy Lau makes a cameo in the movie acting as himself.
Planning took as long as three years. The cast and crew filmed for four months before wrapping on April 13, 2015.
Much effort was taken to recreate the look and feel of 1994 through the props and the set.
