Synopsis and Plot Summary
A greedy police chief seizes the opportunity to exploit the wife of a wealthy businessman who happens to be the accused in a locked room murder case.
Zheng Wei (Xu Guanghan) demands a hefty sum to clear Qiao Wenna's (Zhang Junning) name from a crime. Meanwhile, a distraught mother (Hui Yinghong) reveals a history of oppression by the influential. An old connection between Ming Hao (Yin Zheng), a congressman's son and Qiao Wenna is also exposed. Amidst money and power transactions, a complex interplay of hidden truths emerges, revealing a case within a case and a game within a game.
