Synopsis and Plot Summary
A distinguished lawyer faces a harrowing dilemma when her daughter is kidnapped. A mysterious phone call gives her an ultimatum: defend a death row prisoner within five days or risk losing her daughter forever.
Chen Zhiqi (Zhang Xiaofei) reluctantly takes on a case of defending a death row convict in exchange for her daughter's safety. She also joins forces with police officer Jin Zhixiong (Li Hongqi) to navigate a perilous journey through the criminal underworld. As Chen races against the clock to unearth crucial evidence, she faces opposition from Lin Shu'e (Kara Wai), the grieving mother of the deceased. With her daughter's fate hanging in the balance, Chen grapples with moral uncertainties about her legal strategies.
