Synopsis and Plot Summary
There's nothing the widowed Du Ruyu wishes for more than to have her four daughters marry into "good" families. For this reason, she grits her teeth and buys a house in the capital in spite of the huge financial burden all so that her daughters will have a better chance to meet someone.
Du Ruyu (Liu Lin) who has been widowed for 18 years has four daughters with completely different personalities. Despite her wishes for them to marry well, she doesn't come across the perfect son-in-law. Instead, their lives are disrupted by the arrivals of: a cowardly "second generation martial artist," a stupid but arrogant royal, a fourth prince who is kind but clueless in other situations and the upright Li Tengyun who keeps on doing bad things. Du Ruyu can't get herself to like any of them but they seem to grow closer and closer to her daughters.
