Synopsis and Plot Summary
It tells the story of Zhou Zishu who has left his past behind and Wen Kexing, the master of the valley. Their paths unintentionally cross when they get caught in the affairs of the pugilistic world.
Zhou Zishu (Zhang Zhehan) is the former leader of an elite organization that is loyal only to the emperor. Tired of the endless cycle of bloodshed, he leaves the organization with the intention to lead a peaceful existence yet finds that he is unable to after meeting Wen Kexing (Simon Gong). Wen Kexing is the master of the Ghost Pavillion who is unlike Zhou Zishu in many ways. Through their meetings, they get to know each other in their travels through jianghu.
Fun Facts
- Mao Zijun was reportedly casted as Zhou Zishu but things didn't work out due to production delays in early 2020 due to COVID-19.
- Filming lasted four months from June 3, 2020 to September 23, 2020.
- Filming took place in Hengdian World Studios.
- Priest is a well-known BL-novelist whose works include Guardian. She also wrote Legend of Fei which is a BG-novel.
- It is expected that the drama will adapt the story into a bromance.
- Gong Jun previously gained attention as the star of the BL-adapted drama Advance Bravely.
- After dropping a coming soon poster and a trailer, it was announced in the same afternoon that the show will premiere 2 hours later at 6pm on Feb. 22, 2021.
- On March 8, a new drama calendar was released. Instead of Mon-Thurs for VIP, 1 episode will be released daily moving up the finale date to March 23 for video on demand viewers.
