Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story follows six families bound by tragedy. It begins with a supermarket arson that kills five and injures twelve, becoming the first potential death penalty case under the new citizen judge system.
Vic Chou plays a psychiatrist who lost his wife and child; Hsueh Shih Ling is a local legislator; Nikki Hsieh portrays a resilient mother; Yang Kuei-mei plays his politician mother; and Sara Yu is a public health nurse. As the fire exposes hidden ties and buried pain, the characters endure betrayal, revenge, and redemption across 20 years. Where will fate lead them after one senseless act forever changes their lives?
