Synopsis and Plot Summary
During the reign of Emperor Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, Madam Li travels to Bianjing to seek good matches for her four unmarried daughters. Facing the challenges of city life, the Li family works together to revive their business while searching for ideal suitors.
Third daughter Kang Ning (Lu Yuxiao), bold and sharp, finds herself drawn to the equally proud and clever Chai An (Wang Xingyue), their fiery clashes turning into mutual affection. Fu Hui (Wu Xuanyi) matches wits with the charming but mischievous Fan Lianghan (Hang Shengchi), enjoying their playful rivalry. Eldest daughter Shou Hua (Liu Xiening), a young widow with no plans to remarry, unexpectedly weds the scholar Du Yangxi (Chen Heyi), determined to win his heart. Fourth daughter, the sweet and lively Si Niang (Ke Ying), falls for the stoic judge Shen Huizhao (Liang Yongqi), helping him solve cases.
