Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story follows four individuals—Yuan Mo, A Shu, Wang Kunwu, and Yuchi Hua—united by their ideals and quest for justice.
Yuan Mo, a commoner issuing permits in Changle City during the Daming Dynasty, crosses paths with A Shu, a refugee from Yanle Kingdom. Their encounter pulls him into the affairs of the Four Square Pavilion, where he navigates diplomatic challenges under General Wang Kunwu and alongside the powerful noblewoman Yuchi Hua. From a mocked minor official to a key player, Yuan Mo matures through trials, forging bonds and pursuing justice for his nation.
