Synopsis and Plot Summary

It tells the story of a pair of princesses from the mortal realm. The older sister who is gentle and kind is betrothed to the heavenly prince. The younger sister, smart and cunning, is betrothed to the demon prince. Due to a mixup, the two sisters are married off to the wrong husbands. It paves the way for two beautiful romances and also ignites a conspiracy that shakes the four realms.

The queen of the human tribe has given birth to twin girls - one is righteous while the other is evil. The older Qingkui is respected by the entire tribe and has been chosen to become a heavenly consort; the younger Yetan is shunned by her own people and chosen to be the demon's consort. On the day of their marriages, the sisters accidentally get on the wrong sedan chair. Yetan and her immortal husband Xuan Shang become a quarrelsome but loving couple. Qingkui becomes a chess piece in the third prince Chao Feng's plans to gain power. At this time, the real identity of the twins are revealed. Their very existence could spell the end of the four realms and many are clamouring for their deaths.

The booting ceremony was held on September 29, 2021 in Hengdian.
Filming was completed after over three months on January 6, 2022.
It is the third installment of the Honey Trilogy that also includes Ashes of Love and Skate into Love due to all three novels the stories are based on containing the words "sugar" or "honey."
The Honey Trilogy brings together the same creative team for all three dramas under producer Liu Ning and director Chu Yui-bun.
Liu Ning previously said that he would try to get Yang Zi and Deng Lun to star in the drama.
It reunites Chen Xingxu and Chen Muchi after the two starred in Guardians of the Lands. Incidentally, Li Landi also makes a cameo in that drama.
