Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story about a group of intellectuals riding the tides of reform as they venture on the road of entrepreneurship to establish a well-known company.

In 1978, Kuang Mingchou (Feng Shaofeng) and the youths he grew up with bear withness to China ushering in a period of vigorous development. Hong Yuqiao (Qiao Zhenyu) also sees a huge business opportunity after seeing Hao Bing (Xia Fan) assemble a computer and they become business partners. As time passes, companies of various forms have sprung up on Baiyi Road as entrepreneurs begin their journey from their small and dingy basements towards a future full of hope.
