Synopsis and Plot Summary
A story that follows Bai Shujin who spent a decade striving hard to make a living in the city. Despite feeling like she is not quite a grown up yet, she faces the reality of having aging parents to care for. Through her family and friends, Bai Shujin finds her sense of self and begins a new chapter of her life.
Bai Shujin (Bai Baihe) left her hometown in hopes of a better life and traded her dreams to become a real estate agent. Contrary to expectations, work was less than ideal and the workplace ended up being a battlefield. In her tenth year in Beijing, Bai Shujin is facing bleak prospects after repeated setbacks - a stagnant career, problems with her love life and unaffordable rents. Furthermore, her mother's (Xu Di) illness has gotten worse.
At this time, a young girl (Zhang Zifeng) who just moved to the big city becomes Bai Shujin's roommate. She resembles the Bai Shujin from ten years ago in many ways. Bai Shujin also encounters her colleague Zhong Yao (Wei Daxun) who is seven years younger than her. Gradually, things begin to change...
