Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story that revolves around five families in the neighborhood and their interactions with their friends and family during the late 1980's.

Inside a small city in the south of China lived a mix of people both young and old. There were Gao Xiaomin (Zeng Qi) and her three sisters, there were the four boys with very different personalities and there were their parents who worry over and laugh about the simplest things. Gao Xiaomin bears the burden of their family's debt and her father's unemployment. Bao Zi's (Chang Long) dad has had to deal with ups and downs. This is a slice of life view into the ordinary living of a special neighborhood.

Fun Facts

Filming took place in Pujiang, Zhejiang Province.
It is based on the hit k-drama Reply 1988 / Answer Me 1998 that was one of the highest rated drama in Korean cable television history with its finale reaching 18.8%.
