Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story between a psychiatrist and a psychologist who find each other again after breaking up eight years ago.

While studying medicine, Yan Shu Ren (Shawn Dou) and his junior Sun Shu (Miao Miao) started dating but their relationship was a difficult one due to circumstances in their families. Shu Ren quits school to avoid Sun Shu while the latter decides to leave for Japan to finish her studies abroad. Five years later, they end up at Si Kang hospital upon the invitation of their teacher. Shu Ren hopes to mend his relationship with Sun Shu but she is cold and indifferent towards him and only starts warming up to him when her mother was in the hospital for treatment. However, the nature of their work spells troubles of his own as an accidental discovery causes Shu Ren to doubt his own qualifications as a doctor.

Filming took place in Beijing and Japan.
Filming began November 2017.
The crew built a set larger than 8000 square meters in Beijing that housed the hospital, apartment and other locations featured in the drama.
Shawn Dou and Miao Miao already met since Princess Agents. He played Yan Xun while she played Xiao Qi.
Jin Shi Jie was also in Princess Agents.
Shawn Dou also reunites with Zhou Yi Wei, Peng Guan Ying and Wang Si Si as they were all part of the ensemble cast of Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy.
