Synopsis and Plot Summary

In the year 1941 when Hong Kong was occupied by Japan, a Communist agent disguised as a military officer receives an important mission that is critical to the success of the revolution.

Ye Chong (Ren Jialun) is a nationalistic young man with Communistic ideals. He comes to Hong Kong to help Sato build the presence of the Japanese military police in the area. In truth, he has sworn allegiance to his country long ago and secretly operates under the codename autumn cicada to relay Japanese intelligence to his comrades. His position puts him at risk time and again for the sake of his countrymen.

Fun Facts

Filming took place in Shanghai, China.
It is Ren Jialun's first Republican drama and his character is ver different from any of his previous roles.
Ying Er had to back out from the drama due to health reasons and was replaced by Li Man as the leading lady.
On July 1, 2017 which was the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return from Britain to China, a trailer was released to commemorate the nameless heroes who fought against Japanese occupation.
