Synopsis and Plot Summary

It narrates the drastic turn of events in the life of three people with complicated familial connections and the heart-wrenching romance that ensues.

Having lived in poverty and destitution, two children, JiangSheng (Sun Yi) and LiangSheng (Ma Tianyu) have only each other for company. Even though the two aren’t brothers and sisters by blood, they are by heart, and the two have never left each other. Both of them were able to get in their dream colleges but unfortunately, Liang Sheng gets involved in a car accident and is nowhere to be found. The incident unravels the mystery regarding Liang Sheng's true identity while Jiang Sheng searches for him day and night.

Cheng TianYou (Wallace Chung) accompanies her and slowly, he falls in love with this simple yet extraordinary girl. Liang Sheng returns with a new identity as the cousin of Cheng TianYou. Their intertwined identities causes turbulent events in their life. Just as calamities come unannounced, Liang Sheng gets diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia further complicating the relationship between the three.

Filming lasted around five months beginning September 4, 2016 and ending January 20, 2017.
Filming took place in Zhejiang, Shanghai and Paris.
Wallace Chung is reunited with Director Liu Chun-Chieh after two years.
Due to an injury before filming started, Alan Yu Menglong rolled on to the set in a wheelchair.
There were rumors that the cast and crew had to film additional scenes between Wallace Chung and Sun Yi, thus increasing their screen time significantly. Ma Tianyu and Sun Yi scenes had to be reduced, which had many Ma Tianyu fans frustrated at the unfair treatment. Fans speculated that Sun Yi was on Ma Tianyu's side when she posted a video of themselves on weibo with the caption, 'We're different." She took down the post later on. Ma Tianyu also wrote a post to appease fans saying that they should let bygones be bygones. He also deleted the post shortly after. (Source: Sohu)
Excerpt from the novel translation, "Her name was Jiang Sheng, his name was Liang Sheng. She thought he was her older brother, he thought she was his younger sister. The poor family financial situation and the pressure to survive made younger sister Jiang Sheng completely dependent and trust older brother Liang Sheng. Perhaps this was merely a dream, a very long dream?" Jiang Sheng: “Since you left, there are only two things left to do in my life, to find you and to wait for you!” Cheng Tian You: “When I was very young, I heard a very beautiful saying. They said: A butterfly cannot fly over the vast sea. Now, I only understand, it is not that a butterfly cannot fly over the vast sea; actually after suffering many hardships a butterfly can fly over the vast sea, but finds out that the vast sea has never waited for its arrival. On September 28, 2018, All Out Of Love was bumped from primetime to the 10pm time slot. This was done to make way for The Years You Were Late. The reason is said to be due to a push for dramas that touch upon the economic reforms in China.
Beginning October 1st, All Out Of Love airs two episodes every Monday and Tuesday at 10pm on Hunan TV. Beginning October 3rd, Tencent members can watch episodes ahead of television viewers based on the revised viewing calendar. Beginning October 29, Hunan TV will air from Monday to Thursday at 10pm. Tencent VIP members continue to watch 4 episodes in advance.
