Synopsis and Plot Summary
It is a story about shengnu, a Chinese term used to label women who are deemed as leftovers for staying unmarried. Sheng Ru Xi (Shu Qi) is a successful career woman who is still single in her thirties and her love life is blank as a piece of paper. Her good friends Wang Lan(Deng Lei) and Zhang Yu (Xiong Dai Lin) are stuck in the same position. One day, a young newcomer named Ma Sai (Eddie Peng) appears and a sizzling romance slowly creeps its way into Ru Xi's life though she is unsure about how to date a younger man.

- The Last Woman Standing is based on a novel of the same name by Luo Luo who also writes the screenplay and directs in collaboration with veteran filmmaker Teng Hua Tao. Luo Luo offers a humorous take on how the much-loved characters deal with their parents relentless nagging, societal pressures and nerve-wrecking blind dates to find a happy ever after.
