Synopsis and Plot Summary

It follows a dynamic team led by Ren Ruyi and Ning Yuanzhou as they embark on a journey from Wudu to Andu. Against all odds, they conquer challenges and together, paving the way for a world at peace.

In a twist of fate, Ren Ruyi (Liu Shishi), once the Left Envoy of Anguo, finds herself becoming part of Wuguo's envoys on a mission to save the emperor. She joins forces with Wuguo's sixth hall master Ning Yuanzhou (Liu Yuning), the charismatic swordsman Yu Shisan (Fang Yilun), the resilient princess Yang Ying (He Landou), the astute young prodigy Yuan Lu (Chen Youwei), and the steadfast imperial guard Qian Zhao (Wang Yizhe). In facing life and death, they forge bonds that transcend the trials they encounter.

Fun Facts

It is Liu Shishi's comeback to the historical genre since the 2017 series Lost Love in Times.
It is Liu Yuning's first time playing the male lead in a historical drama after playing the second lead in several dramas. It is also his second drama as the male lead as he's played Liu Tao's leading man in an upcoming modern drama.
The cast gathered for the blessing ceremony held on September 13, 2022.
It was announced four months later on January 14, 2023 that filming has wrapped.
