Synopsis and Plot Summary
In the early years of Anping, the young emperor of Jing ascends to the throne. In his quest to monopolize power, Marquis Zhong and Prime Minister Wu provoke the governors of various states into rebellion, leaving the common people in dire straits amidst raging wars. Inside the capital, Bai Wentai, an official of the sixth rank, has a niece named Mo Xi and and a beloved daughter Feng Yao who are caught in the middle.
