Synopsis and Plot Summary
A building has collapsed in Hong Kong resulting in the deaths of many. Shi Guang who once evaluated the development as an engineer smells something fishy and decides to conduct his own investigation. This is a story about a man who seizes the chance to go back in time to make up for the mistakes of the past.
Just as Shi Guang (Shaun Tam) was seeing progress in his investigation, his lawyer girlfriend Zhang Min (Gloria Tang) dies in a car accident. His long-lost half-sister Ouyang Jiachun (Angel Chiang) is also killed and even Shi Guang does not escape death. However, he wakes up and realizes that he's gone back to the time before the building collapsed. The powers that be have given him a chance to be reborn!
Shi Guang suspects developer Kang Yongren (Gilbert Lam) and his own teacher Ying Yaowei (Timothy Tse) to be the culprits behind everything so he does everything he can to prevent disaster from happening again. In order to avoid endangering the two most important women in his life, Shi Shi decides not to meet with his sister and also refrains from pursuing a romantic relationship with Zhang Min, choosing instead to guard them from the sidelines.
