Synopsis and Plot Summary

In order to repay fashion guru Li Manli for adopting her, Shen Tiantian who has led a difficult life willingly becomes a shadow designer for Li Manli's biological daughter Tang Guo'er.

Shen Tiantian (Zhang Jianing) studied design through the support of Li Manli (He Saifei), the ambitious chief executive of the Li Group who is determined to take her company to the world stage. In order to repay Li Manli's kindness, Shen Tiantian becomes a shadow designer for Manli's daughter Tang Guo'er (Jiang Fangting). In the process, they become best friends who can talk about anything under the sun.

For the sake of business, Li Manli sets up her daughter with the Zhao Group's successor Zhao Mingyuan (Jiang Yi) in the hopes that a marriage alliance can benefit them. Unexpectedly, Guo'er falls in love with the man of her dreams and begs Tiantian to go on the blind date instead. Tiantian and Zhao Mingyuan begin to develop feelings for each other. However, Tang Guo'er discovers that the man she has been pining after is none other than Zhao Mingyuan.

In order to fulfill Tang Guo'er's wishes, Shen Tiantian leaves brokenhearted while Guo'er becomes successful in her plan to marry Zhao Mingyuan. The label 'Guo'er' which Tiantian designed for her becomes part of her dowry. However, Tang Guo'er is still unsatisfied. Out of jealousy, she sells off 'Guo'er' to eliminate alll traces of Tiantian.

At this time, a scandal breaks out to reveal that Zhao Mingyuan is not the true heir of the Zhao Group because he was merely a beggar adopted by Zhao Lange (Winston Chao). Having seen Zhao Lange's true face, Zhao Mingyuan resigns and joins hands with Tiantian to build a brand that can establish the slogan of 'made in China' in the world of fashion. As the Li Group falls apart, Guo'er blames Tiantian for all her misfortunes. The two former best friends become opponents who know each other the best.
