Synopsis and Plot Summary

It tells the story of a group of people with unique abilities that allow them to read minds, see the future, conjure electricity, perform telekinesis and become invisible.

Wei Yichen (Wang Yibo) woke up one day to discover that he has obtained superpowers due to special genes that are continuously mutating within his body. By touching someone's face, he can know what they are thinking. However, Wei Yichen discovers that his other powers seem to be dissipating. In fact, his power has been passed on to Nan Ruoyi (Wang Mengli) who inherits the ability to conjure electricity while Duan Muhao (Zhang Yijie) gets the power to see the future.

Filming took place in Zhuhai.
Filming began on December 8, 2017.
The 24 episodes are split into season 1 and season 2.
It is one of Wang Yibo earlier works that he filmed when he was only 20.
Due to lack of budget, filming had to stop and was only completed in 2018.
After The Untamed, there is a lot of anticipation for Wang Yibo's new dramas Legend of Fei and Being a Hero. It was suddenly announced that his older drama My Strange Friend will premiere in less than a week on iQIYI.
Wang Yibo and his team have not promoted the drama. There are reports that it is due to issues with production and that Wang Yibo didn't return to finish his scenes after filming was suspended.
