Synopsis and Plot Summary
The once harmonious relationship between Mother Zheng's three daughters and three sons-in-law devolved into an all-out war after it was revealed that the late patriarch of the family had stashed money to his own secret funds.
Mother Zheng (Pan Hong) had successfully raised her three daughters Zheng Nannan (Zuo Xiaoqing), Zheng Tingting (Gao Lu) and Zheng Duoduo (Liu Yun) and they lived happily with their husbands. Suddenly, Zheng hears a recording which leads her to believe that her late husband has secretly stashed money when he was still alive. She advised her daughters to watch their husbands carefully especially in money matters to protect them from the same situation that she is in.
However, her well-intended advice became a license for her daughters to get their claws out on their husbands. The previous happy families turned into families with hurt feelings and mistrust. The eldest daughter is engaged in a cold war with her husband; the second daughter is divorced and the third daughter separates from her husband. As their mother regrets giving counsel to her daughters, she resorts to a hundred ways to persuade the three couples to reconcile in hopes that it is not yet too late to fix their marriages.
