Synopsis and Plot Summary
The story follows Li Wei as he takes office in Suzhou and plays an instrumental role in rooting out the conspiracies involving Ba Ye.
At the beginning of Emperor Yongzheng's reign, the nation was in a state of chaos and faced trouble within and outside of its borders. Corruption was at its worst and political factions were arrogant and unstoppable. Nian Gengyao (Du Zhiyao) holds six hundred thousand able bodied soldiers at his disposal that he uses to challenge the emperor. Ba Ye (Wang Huichun) continuous to make alliances in the royal court to threaten the current rule. In order to take down Ba Ye and his cronies, Yongzheng sends Li Wei to investigate a big case.
