Synopsis and Plot Summary

A scholar majoring in law crosses paths with her straight-laced boss. The two start off with a love-hate relationship that blossoms into an earnest romance.

Cheng Lingyun (Jia Qing) grew up in a single-parent household. Despite her humble beginnings, she is kind, optimistic and aspires to become a lawyer. She lands a job at Dingfeng Group where she butts heads with her boss Fu Yize (Sammul Chan). His strictness and repeated trials become a source of motivation for her while her can-do attitude changes his perception. The two slowly grow from a position of enmity to that of friends and lovers. However, the truth behind Lingyu's identity wrecks her peaceful existence and she gets caught in complicated family matters in addition to a conniving rival in love. Will she overcome all odds to be with Fu Yize?
