Synopsis and Plot Summary

An antique shop is at the core of a mystery as its owner who hails from a family that has long been dabbling in the trade becomes embroiled with old secrets from jianghu.

An unexpected visitor pays a visit to Xu Yuan (Xia Yu) and takes him into a dream where a conspiracy is brewing. He finds that a treasured artefact that can only be heard in legends may have personal connections to him and that a scheme from decades ago has everything to do with his fate. Even at the cost of his life, Xu Yuan uses his skills to pit wits and will against the powers from a long time ago.

Fun Facts

Filming lasted around five months beginning July 23, 2017 and ending December 13, 2017.
Filming took place in Xian, Han Cheng, Beijing and Tianjin.
The whole process from pre-production to filming completion took three years.
When the book was published, Ma Bo Yong who wrote the source novel already expressed that Xia Yu was his ideal choice as he matched the character inside and out. Early on, Qiao Zhenyu became a favorite with fan-made videos of him as the character so having both Xia Yu and Qiao Zhenyu as the main leads worked out according to everyone's wishes.
