Synopsis and Plot Summary

A story about an ordinary student named Geng Geng who unexpectedly gets into Zhenhua Highschool and shares a desk with top student Yu Huai.

Student life is not easy for Geng Geng (Tan Song Yun) who is falling behind in classes that she cannot understand and not doing well in exams. Home life is equally taxing as she returns home to a new mother and new brother that she cannot stand. However, sharing a desk with Yu Huai (Liu Haoran) and having good friends like Jiang Nian Nian (Dong Qing) makes it all better as she no longer feels alone. In the three years that she sat next to Yu Huai, they have grown alongside each other. Yet a new chapter begins and the special boy in her heart is gone. They meet again after many years and she has to choose between Yu Huai and Lu Xing He (Wang Yue Xin) who has been relentlessly pursuing her.

Fun Facts

Filming took place in Qingdao and Beijing.
It was included in the top ten best webdramas during the 2016 ENAwards.
It is produced by iQiYi and Sugarman Media who went on to produce My Huckleberry Friends the following year. Most of the cast were born in the 1990's and later. In fact, Liu Haoran turned 18 while filming.
Liu Haoran who played a superstar student in the drama is also one in real life, learning Mathematical Olympiad early on and participating in various competitions.
Tan Song Yun and Dong Qing who played not-so-good students in the drama admitted that real life is not far off as they had to retake exams to get into the school of their choice.
It is one of author Ba Yue Chang An's three books that also include Unrequited Love and My Huckleberry Friends.
