Synopsis and Plot Summary
Chen Zhi Jie (Wu Jing) is an undercover agent on a mission to bring down Hong Wen Gang (Louis Koo), a human trafficker who acts the part of a proper businessman. Ah Cai (Tony Jaa) is a prison guard desperate to save his ailing daughter. One day, Chen Zhi Jie is sent by Hong Wen Gang to assassinate Hong Wen Biao. His superior Chen Guo Hua (Simon Yam) attempts to assist Zhi Jie but his identity gets exposed nonetheless. As a result, Hong Wen Gang corners Zhi Jie into a Thai prison where everyone and everything can be an agent of death.
Fun Facts
- SPL Sha Po Lang is an action-packed blockbuster that hit the big screen in 2005 while SPL 2 is a sequel attempting to recreate the success of the former and it brings back Wu Jing to take the leading role. Although Donnie Yen does not return, big names such as HK actor Francis Ng, Thai action legend Tony Jaa, etc. also join the film.
